“ The food here is really nice. The dim sum is nice. The curry noodle is nice. The chee cheong fun right across the road is also very nice! Really a worth trip from Singapore. After this, I was introduced to 华丽楼点心 by a customer here. And it was great there too. But for this place, it is so good. I will love to come again ”
“ It does not get any more old school or OG than Nam Heong here in old town. This place has been around since the beginning of time and although it is a tourist favorite, there are still many locals that brave the parking and crowds to come here to eat and they did not disappoint today! The wait was reasonably short at 15 minutes considering it was a weekday. Their coffee was as amazing as always accompanied by egg tarts. That's a beautiful start to any day. The song about the coffee that is incredibly smooth and goes down easy yet it is full and robust in flavor without being overpowering. It is always just beautifully balanced. All of the other dishes including curry mee, char koay teow, Hokkien mee / prawn mee, stir-fried la la and kueh were all delicious and prepared to absolute perfection! The organized chaos in this old school eatery is run like a well-oiled machine! ”
“ Good old school vibe, located at old town Ipoh, this is the original shop for Ipoh white coffee. The coffee here is superb! The char koey teow here is a must try… one of the best i have tried! ⭐. Staffs and vendors here are very friendly. Food is served fast despite large crowds all the time. Highly recommended!! Well done and keep it up..! ⭐ ”
“ Came here specially for the Egg Tarts. The taste didn’t disappoint me at all. Yummy buttery egg tarts. Love the tart shell. Crowded shop with lots of tourist. We just tapao the egg tarts. To takeaway, just directly go to the end of the shop (at the cashier). ”
“ This kopitiam is usually packed especially during the lunch time and weekends. We prefer to eat at the other newer branch (back lane - the second shop) which is much more comfortable. The signature iced white coffee is a must. The coffee is thick, aromatic (slight charcoal taste) and not overly sweet (bittersweet coffee taste) . Our usual menu would be the prawn noodles (thick sweet prawn broth), asam laksa and Ipoh Kuetiau Noodles. Love the tim sums as well. Do try their char siew pau and egg tarts . These you have to buy from the front shop (original kopitiam) The char kuetiau is delicious too and this too have to order from the front shop. The staffs from the branch shop are very friendly. If you go during peak hours, be prepare to wait. Highly recommended. ”
